So I totally ganked this thread idea from Lurue.

Likes: Picking up adds as long as they are not omgwtfeverywhere.. much H8 @ thorim... I also love to zoom zoom run fast charge, intercept, find creative ways to get the job done. Interrupting! As long as I don't panic and forget to threat >.<

Dislikes: Standing still.

Ideal Tanking Encounter: 10man sarth 3d~

Used Addons that assist in tanking: Im a huge fan of the addon called Power Auras, it helps me moniter different buffs/ cooldowns / procs in pritty little pictures in the middle of my screen. Makes noticing these small changes easier and reacting as fast as possible.

Favorite Ulduar encounter to tank so far: Freya!! Gogogo predicitble adds with interrupts and seperate techniques.

Tanking Mood: I am a furious tank.. im sure most of everyone and their neighbors have heard my massive keyboard slapping and button mashing as I key vent mid bossfight/trash pull.

Petpeeves: Other tanks taunting off me dosn't bother me too much, as long as its not gonna have negative implications.. like taunting "random frontal aoe boss to the middle of the raid on accident." hmmm petpeeves.. Warrior tanks with 100 rage for more then 1.5 seconds. Melee that /hate me for spazzing out while tanking =(


Edit: Tanking Envys: (whats that one ability you see other tank classes use that you want?) Death and decay looks nice but ima have to go with survivial instincts!

Wow, you tanks are even shyer than several of our healers. ;P

Likes: i like being able to move while i'm tanking...kiting fights like Malygos and Heigan.

Dislikes: not getting healed =(

Addons: I also use Power Auras, really nice for the procs.

Favorite Ulduar Tank encounter so far: Ignis adds

Tanking Mood: I'm a very relaxed tank. i'm always mashing buttons, but in a very relaxed way. I'm much more furious keyboard slapping when i'm fury

Petpeeves: people that blame the tank for something that is actually a mechanic of the fight

Tanking Envys: Paladins get all my abilities =(

btw Balk, you have Survival instincts.....its called last stand

Likes: Tanking. Active/Mobile fights are fun. ^agree with balk, picking up adds is fun, just not wtfwhereyoucomefrom adds.

Dislikes: hmm ... repair bills?

Ideal Tanking Situtation: CD dance, Sarth 3D ... "ANAKA SAVE ME!!!!"

Addons: uhhh, xperl?

Favorite Ulduar Encounter: soon to be Freya 3D

Tanking Mod: none ... Blood Boil/Howling Blast spammage

Petpeeves: ehh, don't really care too much. you pull off me, you better damn well be prepared to tank it.

Tanking Envy's: shield?

Likes: AoE tanking. While tanking a boss is always fun there's just something about the unholy spec and AoE tanking that feels right.

Dislikes: When Murphy's Law comes calling.

Ideal Tanking Encounter: Heigan, I loves me some safety dancing.

Addons: CTmod, Quartz (for timers).

Favourite Ulduar Encounter: My favourite is probably Leviathan, I just have too much fun driving around. My favourite to tank, Hodir floor adds.

Tanking Mood: I'm a pretty calm tank during fights though I tend to bounce around in random circles if I'm waiting in one spot for too long.

Petpeeves: People who don't understand that Death Knighs can be tanks too just because the only ones they've seen think that Frost Presence = insta-tank and that defence and a tank spec are optional.

Tanking Envy's: Defiantly Shields

Hum, you have a point there, I do mean Thorim =P

Likes: Oddly enough, despite playing a warrior I love off tanking. Add duty etc is just my thing.

Dislikes: Single target DPS that goes after my off targets, when I MARK a target for them to go for, and then bitch if they pull threat. (I say if because I'm pretty twitchy about monitering my off targets. <.<)

Ideal Tanking Situation: Feeling like at any second I'm going to die. I love the challange and having good healers to work with to over-come "I should be dead" situations. (Example would be ignis adds after the ninja buffing of the adds so you had to one shot them for 5k instead of do 5k total. We didn't know what had happaned so as the OT I just.... tanked ALL of them. Every one that spawned. Health went from full to like, 5-10% every 2 seconds I swear. )

Addons: DBM, Omen, Recount. Recount desides who gets vigilence, Omen is my "I'm tabbing through my targets to see who's climbing on what threat wise", and, well DBM because it yells at me in pretty colors.


Favorite Ulduar Tank encounter so far: OT'ing Ignis. Just... fun booking it around trying to control the adds.

Tanking Mood: Panic and chaos! Healers watching my target of target get dizzy watching how often I change targets, am jumping from mob to mob like a spazmatic racoon.

Petpeeves: Anyone, of any class, who thinks that just because they have tons of gear, that if a wipe occurs, it's because the rest of the group/raid is idiots. Examples include a healer that didn't heal for a full 10 seconds during patchwork after he'd hit me (by the grace of the RNG I lived that long) and then blamed me for dying saying I wasn't geared to do it. (DK tank.... in uld 10/25 gear, tanking nax 10 as a favor to a friend. *rolls eyes*)

Tanking Envys: Howling Blast. Not even for the aoe threat. For pulling. I loved being able to pull entire groups, generating not only instant threat on all of them, but building threat with the dot? Nomnom. (Because, really, what's Howling blast without the glyph? )
